News From George Gervin Prep

George Gervin Prep is a small but active school community. On this page, we’ll post information about upcoming events, award recipients, event spotlights, and so much more. Be sure to check back often.

Snack Pack and Book

Starting March 19, 2020, GGPA will be providing a snack pack and a book on a first come first serve basis. Meals will be served at 11:00 a.m. A crossing guard will not be available during school closures.

Meals Available During School Closures

During the school closure ordered by Governor Ducey, many of the surrounding districts are providing free grab and go meals for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday for all children ages 18 and under. For locations and more information, please view our flyer.

Important Notice for GGPA Community March 13, 2020

After careful consideration, George Gervin Prep Academy will be closed to students until further notice beginning March 16, 2020, in order to help contain the spread of COVID-19 in our community. During this time, our school leadership will continue to stay updated on the COVID-19 situation in our county, state, and nation.

We want to assure all families and staff that this decision was made only after thoughtful consideration of the facts and the potential impact on our community. We will continue to communicate and provide updates regarding alternative and digital learning for students and timeframe of reopening the school.

Again, GGPA students will not return from spring break next week. We will continue to post updates on our web page, our telephone Smart Call system, Facebook, and Class Dojo.

Thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

Principal Crawford
Superintendent Hawkins

All children enrolled in our school can eat for free, and there is no application requirement! Please see our NSLP breakfast and lunch program flyer for complete details.
